Lion pride has taken over the Detroit area of Michigan and everywhere you go you see supportive fans showing their Detroit Lion Pride. All this energy inspired tonights painting of a lion in Detroit Blue. I searched through my pictures and couldn’t find a good one for what I had in mind so I kinda just winged it. For not painting much animals and not using a reference photo, I don’t think it turned out too badly. It’s not perfect but you can tell its a lion, so I count is as a success. It is nice seeing the Lions do well this year; it has been a long time coming.

Have you made sports themed art before? I think this one is a first for me.
