It was a grey wet day today. Lovely Michigan drizzle. But at least it was wet roads and not icy roads around this weekend. January and February often give few sunny days so I try to create some sunshine with my art when I’m feeling sick of the clouds.

Yesterday I painted irises, but today with the Lions loss fresh in my head the dandelion idea popped in. You can go metaphorical with that or just enjoy these loose dandelions in the summer sun.

Do you struggle with painting loose, or is your challenge in creating realism? I suppose I struggle with both sometimes.
