As today is the first day of February our club has a new inspirational theme of Red. Since I’m on the flower kick I of course thought immediately of poppies, but as I have painted and sculpted them prolifically in the past I wanted to try something different. So I decided to go digital and I combined some of my previous works into a composite art work that I think is rather interesting.

I had to put a time limit on my playing with it because I also took the time to submit an entry into a sculpture show in Flint. I entered my squash pitcher, my seaweed sculpture and Unity, my Charles McGee inspired family portrait sculpture. Wish me luck!

I also decided it was overdue that I list all the shows I’m applying to, entered in, and that are upcoming. The more I’m putting myself out there the more organized I need to be.
