The warm weather has moved on, but the sun created an illusion of warmth today. In honor of the sunny day I decided to paint a big ol’ sunflower today. I’ve used the photo reference a few times for digital composites. I need to take more photos of sunflowers this summer. It really brings me joy painting them.

Tomorrow’s Fat Tuesday and I’m debating getting up really early to try and snag myself a gluten-free paczki. Most of the bakeries that carry them are pretty far away, but I just saw on facebook that a local donut shop will have a few dozen, but they open at 5am! And I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants a gf treat! But either way I’m looking forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day a day early. I get to give out my hand made cards!
