I felt inspired to paint a colorful loose landscape during this morning’s Zoom with June session. Being winter you’d think I’d be inspired to paint more wintery things, and while I’ve painted a few snowy scenes, I seem to be mentally just ready for spring. Maybe during the heat of the summer I’ll feel more like imagining frigid winter weather. But for now I’ll keep dreaming and creating colorful warm things.

During the zoom I also went back to yesterday’s painting of the statue and added some blues and yellows so it looks more like a statue and less like a ghostly apparition. Although I like the additions of these details, my mom liked the original ghostly painting better. Oops.
Do you often go back to a “finished” painting on another day and fix up some details?
