I was at our clubs studio this afternoon to help club members with their online entries for our next show. I arrived a little early so decided to start a painting. I flipped through my photos and came across one I took of some pears I was using as test tiles for glazing. These had glaze applied but were not fired yet.

I simplified the background from the original photo as to not distract from the pears. I added some brick like detail to the wall behind to add a little interest and texture.

I often find myself painting my pottery pieces. I find it interesting making one piece of art from another.
