Abstract garden, Jacquelyn Block

Today I was pondering what to paint and I was having trouble focusing my mind. So, I decided just to start painting and seeing what would emerge from my paper. I started with some green rectangles and the started to give me a bit of a landscape vibe. I added some blue for a sky and then decided it would be fun to have some color in the bottom to be reminiscent of a garden.

For starting out not knowing what I wanted to do I am pretty happy with the result. It is sometimes quite freeing to just start by playing with colors and just letting your imagination flow.

Do you sometimes start a painting with no idea of where it is going?
