Watercolor bottles WIP

Yesterday I posted a picture of the liquor bottles at the bar. This morning during our Zoom with June, I decided to have a go at painting it as a watercolor. Glassy surfaces have always been a little intimidating for me, but I figured I’d give it a try. I sketched out the bottles and labels in pencil, and started painting a few of them. I am liking how it is turning out, but it’s a slow process so I will have to work some more on it this weekend.

I received some good news that my photograph, Riverwalk, as well as my watercolor, Downtown Vibes, were both accepted into the upcoming Welcome to Detroit Show with the Grosse Pointe Artist Association. The Show runs March 14 – May 2 at The War Memorial.

Do you have any good news to share?
