Today is Wednesday so that means pottery class! I was excited to try out the gear cutter I ordered with my birthday money. My husband was very confused when he had to sign for a package from the Ukraine. They work great and the clay pops right out of them. I decided to make a whole bunch and make a bowl out of them. It will be interesting to see how it fares in the drying and bisque fire. I took lots of pictures in case it doesn’t work out. I ordered them to use as embellishments so this is just an experiment for me. If it works out it will be a pretty cool piece.

My giraffe from last week slow dried with no cracks showing up so he was moved to the kiln room. Then I glazed a few of the pieces I made previously.

The robot I just put some blue underglaze on and will paint with acrylic paint so I can get a metallic finish after he is glaze fired.

Then I had extra time and clay so I made two pears. Shocking, isn’t it?
