Today was our monthly art club meeting and it was followed by a demo from a local artist who I’ve followed for a while. Debbie La Pratt gave us a great overview of her process and was extremely interesting to talk with. It was great getting to talk to her in person.

When I got home from the meeting my youngest was pretty wound up so since he is on Easter break he wanted to stay up a little later than usual.

Since I didn’t have a lot of time, I decided to take some self portraits using photoshop this evening. I got a few that I thought came out pretty interesting. I may use them in other projects in the future.

One of the things that Debbie discussed during her demonstration was the Detroit Fine Arts Breakfast Club. She is the second artist this year to encourage our group to check them out. I really should make the effort to go to their meetings soon. It would be nice to sell some of the art that is pilling up around my house.
