The clouds this morning were captivating. It seemed like every cloud type was represented in the morning sky today. Such beauty and texture. I generally don’t share my cloud pictures, but rather keep them as photo references for future paintings, but these I felt were share worthy.

Today was also my best friend’s birthday, the first since his death in September. I miss him dearly. My tears flowed freely today and it still seems like everything I see triggers my memories of him. I had a Carmel Macchiato this morning in a toast to his memory- those were always his favorite.

And just now as I was typing this post my husband surprised me with an early Mother’s Day gift. There is a cafe by his work that has an old cigarette vending machine that has been repurposed for selling art. He was so excited to give it to me that he couldn’t wait till Sunday. The artist is Kristen Olinger Dalpiaz.

Have you ever seen an art vending machine before?
