Today I was back in the pottery studio after our break last week. My daughter asked me to make her a chanchito, and as I had some terracotta clay left I was able to accommodate her request. She had shown me a few pictures from her Pinterest to get me started. Then I just went on my own from the memory of her pics. I had made a couple and they seemed cute, but off in some way. That’s when I realized I forgot to give them ears! Luckily, I realized today, and not after I fired them all. They are much cuter with ears.

I also picked up some of my finished items. I really like how my flowery face came out. And the doll, with her articulating limbs, is really fun.
