Today was a beautiful day for a trip to the Detroit Zoo! The weather was wonderful. It was cool enough for the animals to be quite active and vocal, but warm and sunny for an enjoyable experience. We saw the penguins, river otter, camels, peacocks, kangaroos, tigers, lions, red pandas, Japanese macaques, bison, zebras, giraffes, rhinos and more that I can’t recall off the top of my head.

There were also oodles of flowers in bloom, providing me with plenty of inspiration for upcoming orange ink paintings.
