Today was another travel day, but before we packed up and got on the road, my son and I took a trail ride led by my daughter and her friend. In spite of the rainy weather we had a great ride. My son even trotted for the first time. He was on George and Cocoa carried me.

We also saw the ducks and my “grandgoose” while visiting the barn. I also checked out the bathroom where I will be painting a mural this summer. My mural paint just arrived with my subscribe and save order so I am eager to try it out on our garage door for a test run. I’m looking forward to the challenge of painting something really big and fun!

Once home I was able to submit my art to the upcoming Grosse Pointe Art Association show, just squeaking in before the deadline. I entered ceramics, photography, and watercolor so I hope at least one thing is accepted. The juror is Robert Wyland, the artist who painted the whale murals. There is one right here in Detroit- it is majestic. I’ll find out Friday if any of my pieces were accepted into the show.

Do you have any artwork that you have entered and are now awaiting the juror results?
