Gear sculpture, Jacquelyn Block

Today was my son’s kindergarten graduation. It was a lovely ceremony- I cried many tears. After the graduation reception we continued the celebration of my youngest son by visiting the Primary student show where he has an artwork on display. Then, his favourite part, we went to dinner across from the Art Center.

Then it was time for me to head back to Anton for my pottery class. My gear wall hanging was out of the glaze fire and ready to take home, and I had a few pieces bisqued and ready to glaze. My face sculpture was one of those and I opted to do a rub and scrub either black underglaze to highlight the texture.

After I finished glazing, I decided to make another gear covered face. A few of my classmates are interested in buying them.

Then to end this good day, I received an email that my unity sculpture was accepted into the Kaleidoscope show at the Pontiac Creative Art Center.
