Today was busy with preparing for my daughter’s graduation party tomorrow. Costco’s earnings may have a bump this quarter thanks to our spending.

We did take a break in the afternoon to visit Anton for their annual Super SatARTday event. There are many art activities for kids and adults alike. Going with three kids with widely differing interests can be a challenge with only two parents, but we managed. One activity we all did together was the heraldry project sponsored by the DIA. My shield contains a few of the things I enjoy creating in my art. I also remembered how much I love writing with Jelly Rollers. I had an extensive set years ago, but my daughter took them as her own when she was little. I think I should get myself a new set.

My youngest and I were finished before the rest of the family, and he was ready for a new activity. We stopped at the painting table where I tried to show my son how to use oil pastels as resist. He was inconsolable as he only wanted to paint with pink watercolor paint and there was none. So I finished this piece, and my husband carried out sobbing son to the car.
