Over the last few days I’ve been admiring and taking pictures of my mom’s neighbor’s gardens. She has such a beautiful garden and I often see her caring for it when I’m visiting my mom. She has some big flooffy peonies in pinks and white in full bloom right now. Saturday when I was setting up for the party and today when I was back to help clean up I took several photos of her gardens. The peonies were just on the other side of the fence so I could get some nice close up shots. There was a little bug posing for me in the one bloom.

She also had some Poppy flowers blooming. They are so striking. The red reminds me of my friend Brianscotte.

Having been reminded of my dear friend and with our spring show upcoming I designed a memorial poster to hang at our show honoring him and another longtime club member who have passed in the past year.
Poppies are a symbol of remembrance for the soldiers who have died in service to our country; do they bring any memories of loved ones to your mind?
