I have been wanting to make a card for a fellow artist and board member of our club who is going through some health problems. She loves cats, so I thought that a kitten making a wish on dandelions would be a cheerful and hopeful image for her.

When making cards, I try to keep my designs fairly simple as the paper is not the same quality as my usual paper and I have ruined cards before by using too much water.

I also usually don’t add text to the front of the card in case the recipient wants to keep the painting and frame it. My message goes inside and I put the title, my name, and the date on the back of the card.
