This morning we got an earlyish start so we could make a few stops on the long drive home from Albany to Detroit. Before we left my husband and I walked down to Norman’s Kill which was just down the road from our hotel. The pictures I had snapped earlier this trip didn’t do the view justice so this was a priority for me before we left. The view did not disappoint.

After that we were on the road. We decided to cross the boarder at the Rainbow Bridge to Canada at Niagara Falls. This was the first time viewing these falls for myself, my husband, and my son. My son was super excited about the experience and he got to cross another fist off the list.

Ontario is beautiful and this trip the weather was much more cooperative. The clouds were majestic. We stopped for a meal and I had a delicious gluten-free poutine. One of the rest stops we took had a blast from the past – Garbage Pail Kids cards. I got a couple packs for my little guy and he thought they were great. They certainly cost a lot more than in the 80’s!
We arrived home safely and I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight. It was a whirlwind of a trip, but I’m glad we made it. I do want to return sometime for a more leisurely visit. There is so much to do in Albany; we hardly scratched the surface.
