Today I wanted to do another loose watercolor floral painting. I was tempted to make another Rose of Sharon picture, but then settled on day lilies. On our way to Albany, I saw some amazing deep red day lilies , but didn’t take a picture. I did have a lot of pictures of the day lilies blooming in front of my mom’s cottage, so I used those as a reference.

I think they have some of the red day lilies on Belle Isle so I may need to take a trip just to snap some pictures of the flowers.
