My husband was teasing me about my recent artwork having a lot of straight lines, geometric shapes and sharp angles, so I decided to make something without any of those at all. As I started off making the first squiggly stroke across the paper, I was thinking about how sound and color come together. As I added to this initial idea I could feel the energy of the waves of sound-color. The idea I had about the sonic universe has been rattling around in my head in various ways. I have been working on a story which utilizes this idea, as well as creating a poem. I wonder what else this idea will inspire?

I found out today that two of my photographs were accepted into the GPAA’s Black and White show. Misty Morning and Belle Isle Koi Pond and Conservatory will be on display in the GPAA Gallery at the War Memorial August 1 – September 20th.
