I stopped by the clay studio this morning to squeeze a little pottery into my packed day. I got some doilies on Amazon prime day and used one to make some lacy slabs.

I was pretty productive, but very immersed in my creations so I stayed a little later than I intended, cascading into running before the rest of the day. I did have a bit of a snafu – I snapped the cast iron tortilla maker clear in half! I don’t know my own strength apparently.

Once I got home I did a little more slab work on top of the Cherry pie I was making for my friend’s birthday party.

Tomorrow I am picking up my Art from the Ode to Mother Earth Show and dropping off the two pieces in the Black and White show. The Gallery Talk is this coming Thursday at the War Memorial if you would like to come. After the awards presentations the artists are invited to talk about their artworks. I love listening to the stories behind the art.
What was the last art opening you attended?
