I’m taking a break today from watercolors, as I spent my evening at the clay studio. I finished up the wall sculpture which I had started on Monday. As I was making it it reminded me of something musical so I added the bit that looks a little like a music note. This is the biggest wall sculpture I’ve attempted.

After that, I made a bowl using square coils. This was pretty time consuming – scoring and slipping all the pieces together, but I think it turned out rather nicely. I have it covered in plastic so I can refine it a bit once it’s leather hard. I had leftover coils and scraps, so using those, I experimented with making an abstract pear and a pendant.
I was inspired by music for my wall sculpture- how might you use music to inspire your creative practice today?
