Today I made a lot of progress on my mural for the barn bathroom at YMCA Camp Nissokone. I got all the big areas painted. I need to paint the figures and add little details, which I’ll work on tomorrow morning, and on future trips up here. The bathroom looks transformed and a much more cheerful space than the white walled room that was there before.

I started this morning after breakfast and worked straight until lunch. Then was back to work until dinner.

The process of making a mural from scratch isn’t easy, but is a lot of fun. If you have an opportunity or a space in your own home, it is something you may like to try.
It’s hard to believe it is already September. Pretty soon the leaves will be changing colors and the weather will get cooler.
How will you use the ending of one season and the beginning of the next to inspire your creative process?
