So I decided to really wet my paper and play with a wet in wet landscape. I noticed these faint lines arching around the paper as I started to lie down color. I thought it was unusual, but hoped they would fade or disappear when I painted over them. Unfortunately they seem to be areas of this paper that are more absorbent than the rest and these lines became more obvious as I continued. I think I’m going to stop here and try again on a new sheet. I really love the quality and value of these papers, so I hope this is just a one off issue.
Have you ever had this experience with a watercolor paper?
