Today’s painting developed as I painted. I was originally going to paint a yellow rectangle, but decided to start with a circle. A yellow circle got me thinking sun so I started adding orange and reds around the top half for a sky. Since the sun was low I figured it make the land dark, with indistinct shadowy, blobby bits. It seems like an alien landscape so I liked it. I added a little color to the dark blobs and think it is done. It’s still wet, so I see if it needs something more tomorrow as sometime it seems to loose quite a bit of vibrancy once it dries completely.
