October brings me a few new challenges to focus my creativity. First up is the Inktober challenge. The first day’s prompt is backpack. I have a pink copic pen and decided to sketch a child’s backpack with a stuffed bunny peeking out. I think it turned out pretty good for not using a photo reference.

The second challenge in which I’m participating is the American Cancer Society’s Photo a Day challenge. I know a few people who are currently fighting their battles against cancer, and countless others who have in the past. Today I took several photos but posted the selfie and a picture of a rose of Sharon bloom with a visitor.

Finally, the third challenge I’m undertaking this month is a short feature screenplay. I’ll be writing a 30-60 page script- my longest to date.
