Today is day three of the Inktober challenge as well as the photo a day for the American Cancer Society. For Inktober, I started sketching these old boots while waiting for my son’s school bus. I was actually thinking originally that I’d take a picture of my youngest wearing my husband’s cowboy boots, but I had such a busy afternoon and evening coming up I opted for a simpler concept.

Since I didn’t have the opportunity to take the picture with my son it gave me the opportunity to try something I had been thinking about recently. Back in middle school I was the cameraman for our school announcements and I’d amuse myself by pointing the camera at the monitor and viewing ‘Infinity.’ I wondered if this could work with an iPhone and screen mirroring. It didn’t work out the same as with the analogue original, but it did yield some interesting results.
