This morning I finally finished my Uhura watercolor during the LPC’s Zoom with June. I didn’t like how the hands were looking, so I decided to crop it and just focus primarily on her face. I then submitted this and the Sisko watercolor to the Color of Sci-fi Call for Entry. Even if my pieces are not accepted for exhibition, I really enjoyed painting these. Such wonderful characters whose stories helped fill my childhood imagination.
After the zoom, we took advantage of the calm weather to get in a last boat ride of the year, except for next week when I help my mom drive it over to the marina for winter storage. I took some nice pictures while on the water, and satisfied my Photo a Day challenge.

Then while I was waiting for my youngest’s bus to arrive I worked on my Inktober drawing of some bird of paradise flowers. Today’s theme was exotic, and I love being able to tie Farscape in even if it’s lost on most people. The flowers make their way into the Uncharted Territories, can’t get much more exotic than that!

If you haven’t watched Farscape, I highly suggest it. It’s streaming on Peacock,YouTube, ShoutTV and Tubi in the US. Plus you can get the Blu-ray box set and have access to the commentaries and loads of special features.
Star Trek and Farscape in one post- you can see how much sci-fi has shaped me; what is your favorite tv series?
