Today’s Inktober promo was Binoculars. Binoculars always make me think of my grandfather. He kept them next to his La-z-boy chair in front of the picture window looking out at Breevort Lake. I don’t have any pictures of his binoculars so I tried to recreate them from my memory from over half a lifetime ago.

The other challenge I’m participating in this month is the photo a day for the American Cancer Society. For this challenge I took some pictures of the wonderfully colorful and fresh vegetables from my trip to the farmer’s market this morning. As good as it looks, it tasted even better.
