Today is the sixth day of the Inktober challenge and photo a day for the American Cancer Society. The Inktober theme for today was ‘trek.’ Originally I was planning on sketching my friends watching Star Gate SG1 during our weekly Star Trek Sunday, but I was too sucker into the episodes to remember to do so. Instead I went for a hiker on a forest trail. It’s probably more in line with what they meant for the prompt, anyway.

For my photos of the day, I took several photos after mass of my family balancing in the parking lot. I also took a few minutes in the beautiful weather to sketch some flowers outside the church while waiting for the boys to eat their donuts.

My sketch has got me wanting to go hiking. The metro park near me has beautiful trails to hike and I bet they will soon be very colorful with falling leaves.
