Drive, Jacquelyn Block

I worked on my inktober sketch for a bit during this morning’s Zoom with June. I ordered a pack of velum sheets so I can make some stained glass coloring sheets for my youngest. I figured I’d give it a try with today’s prompt of drive. Last year I made a watercolor of cars driving down an autumn color tree-lined road. I took inspiration from that painting for this attempt although it ended up looking quite different. I think I tried putting in too much detail and will try again with a simpler design for my little guy. He was not impressed with today’s effort.

Cider and Ginger Snaps, Jacquelyn Block

I used the rest of my zoom time on the monthly inspirational theme of sugar and spice. I decided on painting a glass of hot cider with ginger cookies. I got frustrated and just scribbled the paint over it and restarted a second layer. I am going to go back and add more- it is certainly not finished yet but is improving at least.

Gaming Night, Jacquelyn Block

This evening when I went to post my daily photo I realized I only took pictures of my art today, so played around with some filters and took a neat picture of my son. I like the geometry of this composition.

Do you experiment with the various filters available on your phone camera apps?
