Camp, Jacquelyn Block

I decided to use my pink kuretake brush pen for today’s prompt of Camp. Camp lately for me means cabins with hot showers, but back in the day I used to love tent camping. I even tent camped in the winter and snow. I earned my “zero hero” in Ely, Minnesota. Although that night I didn’t sleep in a tent. I slept in my sled with a tarp shelter up and my glasses on so I could see the Milky Way. I’m way too old for that kind of thing now.

Chokecherries, Jacquelyn Block

Although I was looking skyward this morning to catch my day’s photo for the American Cancer Society fundraiser. Last year the robins never flew south for the winter, and snacked on the plethora of these fruits left on the branches. I think it’ll be another warm winter so I wouldn’t be surprised if they stayed again this winter.

I thought I was going to have a good chunk of time available today for writing , but fate doesn’t seem to be cooperating. I did work on some of the dialogue in the first few scenes as well as had a few ideas regarding early signs of alterations in the new timeline.

Are you, too, cramming in any October goals in these last few days of the month?
