Today is the last day for my Inktober challenge, my photo a day for the American Cancer Society and the deadline for my short feature screenplay. What a busy month, but I have a lot to show for it. I hope you enjoyed these challenges along with me. Today as I parked way down the street from my son’s school, I found myself looking for a landmark to find my car later after the parade. I spotted this nice big tree in the yard next to my car. I decided to do a quick sketch, as I had arrived with plenty of time to spare. It fit perfectly with the days prompt landmark. I had been thinking of sketching the Eiffel tower or the statue of liberty, but this tree just felt like kismet.

My final selection for the photo a day was easy to figure out a subject considering it’s Halloween. My son was looking good in his wraith costume while waiting for the bus to school.
I was able to finish the edits to my script for Timekeepers Journal, and submitted it to the contest. I’ll find out mid January how I did. I really feel blessed to have friends, not only willing, but excited to read my screenplays and provide feedback. I find their help to be invaluable, especially since I’m dyslexic and have a hard time spotting my own mistakes.
Yes, I’m a dyslexic writer- what challenge do you have that would seem to stand in the way of your creative pursuit, but doesn’t deter you from your passion, in spite of it?
