Today has been a fun and busy day. My teenage son and I were background talent for a funeral scene that was shot this morning for a short film. As you may know, I have written a few screenplays now, and one of the suggestions I have received is to start getting some experience on movie sets. This was an interesting look into how films are brought from script to screen. My son enjoyed the snacks, while I enjoyed observing how everything worked.

After we wrapped on set and went home, I checked my email to find that my photo of Johnny Noodle King was accepted into the Food in Art show with the Grosse Pointe Artist Association. The show opens November 23rd with a gallery talk at 2pm.

To finish my busy day we then attended the opening of the Art for the Holidays at the Detroit Artist Market. My daughter met us up there with a few of her Wayne State friends. There are many great pieces if you are looking for unique gifts for your winter gifting holidays. I have two masks and two nesting nativity sets available for purchase. If you are a member you get a 10% discount on your purchases.
Have you ever been on set during a movie production?
