I really wasn’t sure what I wanted to work on this evening. I was tired and cold and spent way more time than I’d like to admit scrolling through my photos looking for inspiration. I finally just decided to start doodling with some watercolor brush pens and see what happened. Fairly early o saw a face coming out so I decided to go with it and this cubist woman started to emerge from the paper. I don’t have a lot of cubist inspired works, but I did try a few ideas a few months ago when I was making things for the My Masterpiece show. This face is purely from my imagination, but I like how it turned out.
I really got drawn into the doodles and it was a good distraction from the cold living room air for a while. I think tomorrow it’ll be time to install a new furnace filter and kick the system over to heat. The weather this fall has been so up and down that I pushed the start of heating season pretty late this year. But it’s getting a little too cold at night- even with the flannel sheets on the bed.
Do you delay switching your heat or ac during the fall and spring seasons, or am I just weird?
