This morning on the walk to the bus stop, my son and I enjoyed the morning fog. It makes for a magical experience when shared with a six year old. I love how many colors are captured in this one image. I think I’ll file this photo with the ones I think will make good watercolor references. I’ll come back to it in the winter when everything is grey and monochromatic.

Later on the way home from the bus stop this afternoon, I stopped to take pictures of this small birch tree on our route. I liked the way the orange leaves caught the afternoon light.

I switched over to my favorite filter and got one pic before my son dragged me away. I guess he didn’t have much patience for my photographic endeavors.
I am enjoying the timing on the sun during our walks to the bus stop and back. Pretty soon though the mornings will be dark again and my fingers too cold to snap photos. I’ll enjoy this window of opportunity while it lasts.
Where do you find the beauty in this time of year?
