Happy Thanksgiving. I’d like to thank all of you for supporting me in this year’s daily art challenge. I wish you all the best today and every day. As it happens to be the 333rd day of the year, I figured I’d incorporate 3 into today’s post. I had painted this trio of pears and submitted it to the Food in Art show, but another of my pieces was selected instead. I decided to give it the filtered light treatment and I love how it turned out.

We had a pair of German students join us for our Thanksgiving dinner today. It was a really fun experience sharing our family traditions with our guests. They are in Detroit for the week, and my daughter’s global studies class and their class in Germany meet weekly via zoom. I learned quite a bit about German culture and the German educational system. It was a fantastic experience for our family, and our guests seemed to enjoy our celebration.
