Lil fox, Jacquelyn Block

Today was a glazy day for me at the pottery studio. I had quite the accumulation of bisqued pieces ready to glaze. I loved how my little fox turned out. I also glazed three more nesting nativities, and a bunch of cat ornaments. My bells were ready to glaze as well. Both sound nice, but will sound even better when fully fired.

Cubist dish, Jacquelyn Block

I also got to bring home my finished serving dish with the cubist face design glazed on it. The clear glaze turned out a little cloudy, but I still like it. I may do another in the Laguna clay.

Snowman

After finishing up my glazing, I still had some time, so I was inspired to work on a snowman. I decided to keep it simple and embellished it with arms and a nose, but didn’t add 3d eyes, mouth and buttons. I may do that with designer liner when I glaze it. Or just leave it simple. Not sure yet. I plan on having these pieces available, along with some watercolors, at the studio’s Christmas pop-up sale on December 21. I’ll be there from 3-6 selling if you are interested in purchasing art from myself or my fellow artists in the studio.

Do you have your holiday gifting planned out yet?
