Yesterday I had started making a big batch of buttons and today I popped by the studio for an hour to glaze them. I underestimated the time I take to glaze all these buttons, so I only made it through a little more than half. I’ll need to stop in tomorrow and finish the remainder, but I think they are going to turn out great. It does take a while to paint on the glaze as I am careful to not get glaze in the holes or on the sides. I use a single color glaze so I can be confident they won’t run and stick to the kiln shelf or film in their holes.

I have fifteen sets of 5-6 buttons and am using a few different colors to glaze them. I tried to pick glazes which would break well over the texture. I’m excited to see how they’ll turn out.
