Foil duckling, Jacquelyn Block

Last night I realized that I have been using the heavy duty foil for my sculptures, but I had a brand new roll of the thinner foil that I had bought by mistake. For cooking I prefer the thick foil, but for sculpting the thinner stuff works better. I had a much easier time getting the basic shapes for the duckling, than the squirrel from the other night. I even ewas able to make indentations for the eyes.

Since it went easier I still had time after finishing the sculpture to work on something else. I grabbed a random assortment of green pens and markers and started making some designs. I decided I wanted to make a candle, since along with the greens I had grabbed yellow and orange brush pens and decided to incorporate them as candle flame.

Christmas Candle, Jacquelyn Block

While some of the greenery turned out nice, my candle is pretty sad looking. I then moved on to a Christmas wreath doodle. I like this one a little more, but neither are my greatest works. I sent my daughter a filtered light photo of the wreath and I think I like that one better.

Which version do you like better?
