All of a sudden today it struck me that Ants are a perfect example of teamwork and decided to make a last minute addition to my ‘My Team’ show entry. I didn’t have much time after the Palette Club meeting, but I was determined to try. It isn’t as full of ants as I originally envisioned, but it was good enough for me quit in time to submit it. Now that makes Three shows entered so far this year. Wednesday will be four. Of course there is no guarantee any of my submissions will be accepted, but if I don’t try then they certainly won’t get in.

In addition to the two pieces I posted yesterday and the ants, I also entered a penguin painting I did in watercolor last year. I debated entering my Unity sculpture, but as it has already been in a previous show I opted against it. I also considered my gear face sculpture, but it is still at the Detroit Artist’s Market and I can’t be 100 percent sure it hadn’t sold. So four pieces it is this time.

My son goes back to school tomorrow so I hope to have a productive day while I have the house to myself in the morning. I hope to balance art writing and housework, so to that end it is bedtime for me.
