Today I heard from Anton that my piece, Star Stuff was accepted into the ‘Sky & Space’ Show. The opening reception is next Saturday, the 18th, and you are all invited. It’s from 1-3 in the second floor gallery, and there will be refreshments and veggies, cheese and crackers, desserts all available.

Within the same hour I also received notice that three of my pieces were accepted into the GPAA ‘My Team’ show. The Gallery talk is the following Saturday, January 25th. After the juror’s presentation, the artists all have the opportunity to talk about their work in the show. It’s a really great experience and I love hearing the stories that go along with the art.
I picked up the pieces that didn’t sell at the DAM holiday market. And the ‘Food in Art’ show at the GPAA gallery at the War Memorial is getting close to closing, so if you haven’t seen that show, then now’s the time. My photo of Johnny Noodle King is right by the entry, on your right when you come in the doors.
Tomorrow is our Zoom with June so I’ll be working on another self portrait. I wonder what I’ll do with it this time- I’ll have to dream up some zany ideas.
What have you been up to this month so far?
