Penguin in Filtered Light, Jacquelyn Block

I am still very sore from my spill on the ice yesterday, but I still managed to drag myself out of the house for mass and children’s liturgy. My youngest son slipped on an icy patch getting into the car. Talking with the children at mass, it has been a rough week for slips and falls. All the kids had a story to share about their own slips this week. I shared with them good advice that works when I remember to use it, and that is to walk like a penguin. Small steps, weight forward. So of course penguins are my bird of the day for a filtered light piece. This is from a watercolor that is currently on display at the GPAA gallery at the War Memorial.

I also was inspired by the Grammys to pull up some of my music themed artwork to see if they translate into filtered light versions.

Did you watch the Grammys or find inspiration from music or birds today?
