Today we had our monthly meeting of the Lakeside Palette Club and after we had a remarkable demonstration by Amy Foster. Our VP modeled for her and while she did her first sketch, I made one of my own.

I like her style of drawing and plan to practice her method for quick sketches from life. I have a tendency to focus too much on details and her approach is quite the opposite- she adds the details as the last step.

Because I used my lined notebook for my sketch, it translated into an interesting effect in my filtered light treatment. I may have to experiment more with this type of thing.
