Surprise, surprise! I made some more pear face sculptures. I can’t help but love bringing these guys to life. I am going to have a little army of them soon. Sorry family- you are all getting pear people for Christmas this year.

To make these figures I sculpt them solid, the slice them in half, scoop out the insides, score and slip them back together , and finally smooth out the seams and add the details back in. The second sculpture is made from the scooped out clay from the first. After two pears I didn’t have enough for a third pear, so I went with a mushroom. I also started an orchid sculpture, but didn’t take any pictures before wrapping it up to work on next visit. If it survives, I’ll share pictures then.
