Today was the reception for the Portrait Parlor show at Posterity. It was great seeing and talking with my fellow artists. I even learned how to say pear in German- die Birne. Now, I’m on my way to being able to talk about my art when I go to Germany this summer.

Since I had pears on my mind I knew what I’d paint to try out the pastels on the black watercolor paper. It’s a tiny painting- Artist Trading Card size.
Tomorrow is going to dip below freezing again. I mis the 70 degree weather from a few days ago. That’s March in Michigan for you. At least the early spring flowers are starting to pop up by the house. I love spring! Soon I’ll be sitting at the park sketching every day.
How is the weather influencing your art this week?
