Trio of sleeping pears.

I finally had time this afternoon to stop by the clay studio. It feels like so long, although it’s really only been two weeks tops. I had a few pieces ready to glaze, including the crosses for my religious education students. After glazing I did some figure sculpture practice and then used the clay to make a few sleepy pears. I want to start quickly sculpting figures at the beginning of my clay session. I won’t keep them, unless they really stand out to me, but I hope that just like with sketches in a notebook, this practice will help me develop my sculpting techniques and speed.

Egg holders

I glazed my prototype egg trays. I’m not sure they will be ready before Easter, with my last start in getting them glazed.

What have you been wanting to get back to recently?
