I finished editing and submitted my screenplay for Round 2 of the NYCMidnight Screenwriting Contest. My round 1 script took first place in my group. Thi round we had only three days to write an 8 page script. Much less time for deliberation and rewriting, but my wonderful group of friends who read my script, sometimes multiple times, were invaluable. In fact it was with their help I did so well in round one. I am dyslexic so I need more than just a spell check to catch my mistakes- especially when I’m writing late at night when I’m usually sleeping.

I also moved my daughter out of her dorm yesterday. I made sure to send out my first draft to my readers before we started and as it took a lot longer than we anticipated I am glad I made that choice. I didn’t have time after to take my art to Lawrence Street Gallery yesterday so I took it out this morning. There are some great new member pieces you should make a point to visit, as well as checking out Suzanne Allen’s solo show. She has such beautiful and imaginative art on display and for sale.
