Today during our Zoom with June I started sketching out my strawberry prompt idea. I didn’t have time to get to adding the color when I logged off, as my friend arrived to pick me up. We visited the gravesite of our dear friend Brianscotte whose birthday was today. My son came too, and I read a poem I wrote for Brianscotte. It was good to have each other for mutual comfort. We all miss him terribly.
When we got back home I continued working on the painting. Brianscotte always enjoyed my art; I can sometimes feel him with me when I’m working on something creative. Red was his favorite color, so I’m glad Strawberries were the prompt of the day today.
At our last meeting Eugene Clark gave a critique for our members and I really tried to incorporate those tips into this painting. I am happy with how the berries turned out. This one will sell fast I’m guessing.
What is your favorite thing to make with fresh strawberries?
